Wally is a hands-on producer, joining in the creative process of all his projects, including features Big Muddy (TIFF 2014) and Stained (The Indie Fest: Award of Merit - 2010), as well as the TV series Rabbit Fall (twice-nominated DGC Best Dramatic Series), The Other Side (in its 7th Season on APTN), and Dirt Farmers (in its 2nd Season on CityTV SK). His keen eye for original ideas means he always has several irons in the creative fire. Right now, they include a feature (Waiting for Columbus – in development) and TV series (One Square Mile, Bombing on Mainstreet, and Chasing Funny). He owns Bamboo Shoots Inc., a commercial and post- house with offices in Saskatoon, Regina and Calgary. Bamboo Shoots produces more than 20 hours of broadcast television every month, as well as high end commercials and cutting-edge corporate video. Wally has a BComm from the U of S, and over 30 years of experience in the film and TV industry. He is committed to growing the industry in Saskatchewan and has twice served on the board of SMPIA and currently serves on Creative Saskatchewan's board.
At Angel Entertainment, Tyler brings his fresh creative take and eye for detail to the series The Other Side as well shows in development: Chasing Funny (Standup Comedy series), Looking for Life (Starring Jeff Richards – companion series to TOS) and Searchers (Doc series). Through two seasons of the series Dirt Farmers (CityTV Saskatchewan) he's been tilling the documentary fields and reaping some memorable prairie stories. Having worked in the field in the Grip /Electric department on two seasons of Rabbit Fall and the feature film Stained, Tyler has a passion for every aspect of carrying a show from the spark of its original idea down the long and winding road to broadcast.
An industry veteran, Brent Kawchuk has written and produced award-winning television programming for networks across Canada including CBC, Bravo, YTV and Global. He produced the performance documentary Balletlujah which explores the life and music of k.d. lang; it won a 2016 Canadian Screen Award. He’s also kind-of into music and even played with Tom Hanks, once. He can also sort of make balloon animals.
